Job SummaryWe are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Accounting Student to join our team as a Financial Analyst. In this role, you will assist in the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial information for our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement close process;
- Leverage your analytical skills to learn our processes and propose improvements;
- Review general ledger account activities to ensure accuracy and make corrective journal entries;
- Maintain and reconcile monthly general ledger reconciliations;
- Generate monthly financial reports;
- Prepare weekly bank reconciliations;
- Provide support to the Manager in various related activities;
- Provide quarterly audit support to auditor questions and requests.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program;
- Completed first year university studies in Commerce/Business Administration (preferably 3rd or 4th year with a concentration in Accounting).
- Financial/Accounting knowledge and preferably some familiarity in IFRS;
- Advanced knowledge of Excel;
- Knowledge of accounting systems like IFS or Blackline is considered an asset.
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 per annum, based on industry standards and comparable roles within the company.
