Job Title: Nurse (RN/RPN/LPN)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse (RN/RPN/LPN) to join our team at Coast Mental Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with mental health challenges in a supportive housing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric assessments, pharmacotherapy, and crisis intervention to clients
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team
  • Conduct regular assessments of client progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an approved school of Nursing with current practicing membership with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • At least three years of recent related experience in mental health and addiction
  • Ability to provide/obtain a valid First Aid Certificate, a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License, and access to a vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client-centered, trauma-informed model of care
  • Knowledge of mental illness and substance use treatment
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology (indications and side-effects)
