We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a Clinical Nurse Leader, you will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day operations of a designated nursing unit and supervising staff.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient/resident care activities, including supervising staff, monitoring patient/resident acuity, and adjusting staffing levels as needed.
- Act as a clinical resource to nursing staff, students, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, providing guidance and support on clinical practice issues.
- Participate in rounds/clinics and collaborate with nursing staff to assess patient/resident problems and needs, plan and prioritize nursing interventions, and implement and evaluate interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team members to identify researchable clinical patient/resident care management problems and participate in research initiatives and projects.
- Provide input and recommendations to the Operations Leader regarding equipment, supplies, and staffing requirements.
- Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Qualifications required of staff nurse in clinical area, plus three years of recent related experience in clinical specialty, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to supervise, communicate effectively, and apply decision-making and analytical skills.
