Fusion Pharmaceuticals, a member of the AstraZeneca Group, is a clinical-stage oncology company focused on developing innovative radioconjugates as precision medicines. The company connects alpha particle emitting isotopes to targeting molecules to selectively deliver payloads to tumors.

The clinical portfolio of Fusion includes:

  • FPI-2265, a targeted therapy for metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer in Phase 2 trial
  • FPI-1434, an insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor targeted therapy in Phase 1 trial
  • FPI-2059, a small molecule targeting neurotensin receptor 1 (NTSR1) in Phase 1 trial
  • FPI-2068, a bispecific IgG-based EGFR-cMET targeted radioconjugate in Phase 1 trial

In addition, Fusion is exploring combination programs between radioconjugates and DNA Damage Response Inhibitors (DDRis) and immune-oncology agents. The company has a fully operational Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant state-of-the-art radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility to meet supply demands.

Job Summary

Fusion Pharmaceuticals seeks a highly skilled Laboratory Animal Technician to support preclinical drug development activities in a lab-based setting in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and report therapeutic efficacy and biodistribution studies using rodent models
  • Maintain rodent cohorts, establish tumour xenografts, and administer test articles by various routes
  • Perform mammalian cell culture in support of biology group activities
  • Document experimental procedures and results in an electronic notebook system
  • Assist in laboratory maintenance and record-keeping

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Health Sciences, Animal Sciences, Engineering, or related field
  • Greater than 2 years of experience in laboratory animal experimentation, animal care, and laboratory operations
  • CALAS certification is an asset
  • Expertise in administering test articles to rodents and mammalian cell culture is required
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, and a dynamic work environment that fosters collaboration and innovation.
