Job Summary
The City of Vancouver is committed to reconciliation and is seeking Indigenous job seekers to join our team. We offer a wide range of job opportunities across various departments, including office support, planning, social planning, communications, project management, engineering, operations, accounting, human resources, law, management, and more.
What We Offer
- Cultural Safety and Respect: We take cultural safety and respect for Indigenous rights very seriously and actively work to develop an atmosphere of respect and understanding for Indigenous workers and community members.
- Indigenous Employee Resource Group: Our Indigenous Employee Resource group provides a space for Indigenous employees to meet, be engaged in City strategies and projects, foster inclusive and supportive work environments, and advance equity and decolonization in the workplace.
- Elder in Residence Program: Our Elder in Residence program engages a small circle of Elders from the local host Nations and the urban Indigenous community who provide cultural support to Indigenous staff and have the opportunity to engage with them in formal and informal events.

- Flexible Work Arrangements: Many of our positions are part of our Flexible Work Program which allows staff to work from home 1-4 days per week from locations that are within a defined daily commutable distance.
