We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instructional Assistant to join our dynamic team at the JR Shaw School of Business. As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver curriculum as part of a subject area team, leveraging industry expertise to create engaging and relevant learning experiences.
- Provide qualitative and quantitative feedback to students on a variety of authentic assessments, inspiring them to become business and community leaders.
- Contribute to program and school efforts, including program curriculum review and renewal, participation at meetings or town halls, and support for recruitment and marketing events.
- Engage in scholarly activity that involves the intentional creation, integration, and dissemination of knowledge that is subject to polytechnic peer review.
- Liaise with business and community stakeholders, promoting the program to prospective students and other stakeholders.
- Related certificate, diploma, or degree.
- Related Doctoral or Master's degree with considerable related industry experience is preferred. A combination of academic credentials and discipline-specific professional certifications will also be considered.
- Previous instruction and/or curriculum development experience may be an asset.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $33.13, plus 12% in lieu of stat holiday and vacation pay. This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
