Territory Sales Manager

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is a leading manufacturer and distributor of flooring products worldwide. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and increasing Shaw's profitability and market share in a designated geographical area. This will be achieved through the development of strong relationships with customers based on knowledge, service, trust, and integrity.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct daily sales calls on existing customers, with a focus on selling hard surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products.
  2. Present products to retail dealers, designers, and end-users, and analyze leads provided by corporate reports.
  3. Sell and construct display racks weighing 50lbs or more on a regular basis.
  4. Prospect for new accounts and develop a keen awareness of the designated geographic area.
  5. Prepare reports of business transactions and sales reports, showing sales volume and potential sales.
  6. Communicate periodic sales reports, outlining actual sales information, goals, competitive market conditions, and product needs.
  7. Analyze sales statistics by reviewing computer reports specific to the territory, to aid in formulating goals and assisting dealers in promoting sales.
  8. Analyze and control travel and entertainment expenditures, as well as sample budgets, to conform to budgetary requirements.
  9. Enter all customer interactions and key information into the system.
  10. Responsible for selling and promoting all residential products, including Shaw Floors, A/T, and Philly Commercial, and educating customers on these products.

Requirements:

  1. A High School Diploma/GED is required, with previous sales experience.
  2. The ability to interface with a diverse group of customers in a friendly and respectful manner.
  3. The ability to use a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software, including MS Office.
  4. The physical ability to assemble and take down display fixtures.
  5. The ability to lift more than 50lbs on a regular basis.
  6. Residency within the territory.

Shaw Industries requires the Residential Territory Managers to operate and maintain a specific vehicle while conducting business, due to the size and volume of flooring samples. The approved vehicle classes are SUVs or van-sized vehicles, and must meet a minimum storage space requirement.
