Job Overview

We are seeking a charismatic and enthusiastic VIP Host to join our team at CPX University Disct VIP in Calgary. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and be part of a team that strives for excellence in customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring seamless interactions with our customers, and promoting a welcoming atmosphere within the VIP lounge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Interaction: Greet and engage guests in friendly conversation, setting the tone for a personalized VIP experience
  • Service Environment Preparation: Prepare tables, lay out napkins and utensils, refill condiments, and perform other preparation tasks to ensure a smooth dining experience
  • Communication: Stay updated on current menu options, specialties, and menu deviations; share in-depth menu expertise with guests to promote products and services available within the VIP Concept
  • Maintaining a Clean Workspace: Wash glassware and utensils after each use; maintain a clean, well-organized service area; perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by Managers
  • Determining Levels of Service: Utilize provincial safe service training to determine if a guest has been over-served alcohol
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Positive Attitude: Enthusiastic and professional attitude, excellent communication skills
  • Hospitality and Customer Service: Superior understanding of hospitality and customer service and proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience
  • Organizational Behavior: Organizational behavior to establish consistency in the guest experience
  • Problem-Solving and Quick Thinking: Proven problem-solving and quick thinking skills in fast-paced situations
  • Math Skills and Computer Literacy: Math skills and computer literacy
  • Language Proficiency: Knowledge of a second language is considered a plus
  • Physical Demands: Extended periods of time standing, walking, bending, carrying, and assisting with various service tasks
