About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Kindred Food + Drink. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the bar, equipment, and surrounding areas
  • Build relationships with guests, learning their preferences and making recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure seamless service
  • Stay up-to-date on menu knowledge, including cocktails, wine, and beer
  • Participate in inventory management and ordering

Requirements

  • SmartServe certification
  • At least 6 months of experience as a bartender
  • Enrolled or completed a Hospitality, Food & Beverage, and/or Special Events program (an asset)
  • Wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge
  • WSET certification (preferred but not required)
  • Passion for food, beverage, and providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move beer kegs, liquor, and wine boxes
