Job Title: Host - Guest Experience Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host to join our team at Kindred Restaurant. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity and ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and managers to maintain a smooth service flow.
  • Escort guests to their tables, engage them in conversation, and seat them accordingly.
  • Take reservations and modify guest status in Open Table with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop a briefing sheet before each shift to inform colleagues of upcoming events and special requests.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the restaurant trade area, including location, surroundings, and nearby attractions.
  • Ensure the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas are fully stocked and clutter-free.
  • Know all table numbers and maintain awareness of server assignments.
  • Fill out detailed special request forms for birthdays, anniversaries, and other notable events.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the washrooms and follow all food safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, with restaurant experience considered an asset.
