Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Coordinate patient care and develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Examine patients, take medical histories, and conduct physical assessments to inform diagnosis and treatment.
  • Order medical diagnostic tests and procedures as necessary to support patient care.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinic or hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
