Opportunity Overview

As a Financial Advisor with Co-operators, you will have the opportunity to build a successful insurance agency and cultivate strong relationships with clients in the Coquitlam community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and acquire new clients to discuss risk management and financial goals, and conduct regular reviews to empower clients to make informed decisions.
  • Cultivate strong community relationships to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute business, operational, and marketing plans to support sustainability strategies and contribute to sales and growth goals.
  • Recruit and select talent, coach and mentor employees, and manage team performance to facilitate development and achieve agency goals.
  • Maintain required licenses, ensure ethical behavior, and comply with corporate policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of management experience in the insurance industry or related business experience.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Life license and General Insurance license, with Mutual Funds license as an asset.
  • Completed or working toward one of the following professional designations: CFP, CLU, CHFC, or accredited Financial Planning Designation.

Expected Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 + commission. The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria, including local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education. Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
