Human Resources Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Advisor to join our team in a temporary full-time capacity. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide expert advice and support to departmental managers and staff across the City, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide guidance on recruitment, collective agreement interpretation, attendance, classifications, employee relations, and other HR-related matters
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety team, Labour Relations team, and Organizational Development and Training team to ensure a cohesive and effective HR strategy
- Develop and implement HR initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture and improve employee engagement
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports related to HR activities
- Stay up-to-date with changing legislation, regulations, and best practices in HR
- 3-5 years of experience in HR, preferably in a unionized or public sector environment
- Strong knowledge of recruitment practices, collective agreements, and HR policies and procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in HR software and systems, including Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS
