Financial Advisor Opportunity

Co-operators is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial-minded Financial Advisor to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. As a Financial Advisor, you will be responsible for managing your own insurance agency and building strong relationships with clients in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and acquire new clients to discuss risk management and financial goals.
  • Cultivate strong community relationships to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute business, operational, and marketing plans to drive sales and growth.
  • Recruit and select talent, coach and mentor employees, and manage team performance to achieve agency goals.
  • Maintain required licenses, ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of management experience in the insurance industry or related business experience.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Life licence and General Insurance licence, with Mutual Funds licence as an asset.
  • Completed or working toward a professional designation such as CFP, CLU, CHFC, or accredited Financial Planning Designation.

Expected Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 + commission. The salary amount for the successful candidate will be determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience, and education. Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
