Automotive Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to join our team at Down the Road Again Automotive. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our service department and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership: Direct and control daily operations, plan and organize daily operations, manage staff and assign duties.
- Market Research: Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales.
- Financial Management: Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.
- Staffing: Determine staffing requirements and supervise office and volunteer staff.
- Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
- Technology: Utilize point of sale system, electronic scheduler, word processing software, database software, project management software, inventory control software, electronic mail and spreadsheet.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience.
- Language: English.
- Transportation: Own transportation, own vehicle, valid driver's licence and ability to drive manual transmission vehicle.
Our service department is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work under pressure and handle heavy loads. You must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods and have excellent attention to detail.
