Job Title: Automotive Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to join our team at Down the Road Again Automotive. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our service department and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and control daily service operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to customers.
  • Plan and organize daily service operations, including staffing, inventory management, and workflow.
  • Manage and supervise a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff to ensure that they have the necessary tools, training, and resources to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the impact of competitors' operations on sales.
  • Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Determine staffing requirements and make recommendations for hiring, training, and development of service staff.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of office and volunteer staff to ensure that administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform front desk duties, including greeting customers, answering phones, and handling customer inquiries.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a service management role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high levels of customer demand.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
