Job Title: Automotive Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to join our team at Down the Road Again Automotive. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our service department and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Direct and control daily operations, plan and organize daily operations, manage staff and assign duties.
  • Market Research: Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales.
  • Financial Management: Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.
  • Staffing: Determine staffing requirements and supervise office and volunteer staff.
  • Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
  • Technology: Utilize point of sale system, electronic scheduler, word processing software, database software, project management software, inventory control software, electronic mail and spreadsheet.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Transportation: Own transportation, own vehicle, valid driver's licence and ability to drive manual transmission vehicle.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, sitting, combination of sitting, standing, walking and standing for extended periods.
