Funeral Director Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate funeral services, ensuring seamless execution and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with families to understand their needs and preferences, providing personalized support and guidance.
  • Manage funeral arrangements, including removals, transfers, and ceremonies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funeral homes, cemeteries, and other death care providers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited mortuary science program.
  • Current Funeral Director license, as required by provincial regulations.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Industry experience preferred, but not required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and database management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Work Environment

As a Funeral Director, you'll work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development. You'll be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
