Funeral Service Coordinator

At SCI, we're dedicated to providing exceptional death care services to our communities. As a Funeral Director, you'll play a vital role in helping families celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate funeral services, including removals, transfers, and arrangements
- Work with families to understand their needs and preferences, and provide guidance on available services and merchandise
- Preside over visitation, funeral, and graveside services, ensuring a professional and respectful atmosphere
- Manage event planning, including resource allocation, music, flowers, and catering
- Collaborate with the services team to ensure seamless execution of funeral services
- Graduation from an accredited mortuary science program
- Current Funeral Director license, as required by provincial regulations
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Industry experience preferred
- Process-oriented, with a focus on results and customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with families and colleagues
- Proficient in database management and MS Office
- Indoor and outdoor work, in various weather conditions
- Professional business attire required when interacting with families
- Frequent standing, sitting, and climbing stairs
- Ability to push and pull up to 150 pounds
