Job Title: Perinatal Mental Health Nurse
Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Perinatal Mental Health Nurse to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). As a Perinatal Mental Health Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to mothers and infants in our specialized mental health and substance use perinatal service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Provide direct care and support to clients, including education, counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services.
Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing with current practicing registration as an Registered Nurse/ Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two (2) years' recent experience providing acute or community health nursing care/services to clients who have concurrent psychiatric and/or substance abuse/misuse disorders.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP) provider.
