About the Job

ZIta Smith is seeking a reliable and compassionate Child Caregiver to join our team. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Supervision
    • Provide one-on-one care and supervision to children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
    • Develop and implement engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Household Management
    • Assume full responsibility for household management, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with parents and other caregivers to ensure seamless care and support.
    • Collaborate with the family to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
    • CPR Certificate.
    • First Aid Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Patience, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
