About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Caregiver to join our team at Zita Smith. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Supervision
    • Provide one-on-one care and supervision to children, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
    • Assist with homework and educational activities.
    • Encourage social development and personal hygiene.
  • Household Management
    • Assume full responsibility for household management in the absence of parents.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
    • Keep records of daily activities and health information.
  • Health and Safety
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
    • Administer medication and provide first aid when necessary.
  • Transportation and Errands
    • Transport children to and from school and appointments.
    • Run errands and perform tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
    • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience and Skills
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
