As a Crew Leader at Railserve, Canada, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily activities of your team and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include determining priorities, delegating work, and facilitating communication between team members and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with the Panel Technician and Rail Technical Advisor to prioritize tasks and delegate work effectively.
- Ensure that equipment and housekeeping checklists are completed properly and on time.
- Facilitate Turn Over meetings and emphasize safety over production.
- Audit and provide constructive feedback to crew members during quarterly reviews.
- Support all activities sponsored by Railserve and the Customer, including team building events.
- Be flexible with scheduling and participate in training for leadership and management principles.
- Work with other members of the department to ensure uninterrupted facility operations and avoid unplanned events.
- Actively participate in the Site Logistics EH&S programs, including peer-to-peer auditing and Safe Work Permitting.
- High School diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
- 6+ months of experience required.
- Superior communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Ability to assess multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a timely manner.
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment, in various weather conditions, and wear personal protective equipment.
