Crew Supervisor

As a Crew Leader at Railserve, Canada, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily activities of your team and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Your primary responsibility will be to determine the priorities of work to be done, taking into account customer needs and your own initiative. You will work closely with the Panel Technician and Rail Technical Advisor to delegate work flow and prioritize tasks throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure equipment and housekeeping checklists are completed properly and on time.
- Facilitate Turn Over meetings and drive the emphasis on safety over production.
- Audit and work alongside crew members to provide constructive feedback during quarterly reviews.
- Support all activities sponsored by Railserve and the Customer, including team building events.
- Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to participate in training for leadership and management principles.
- Work with other members of the department's natural work teams and subject matter experts to assure uninterrupted Site Logistics facility operations.
- Actively participate in the Site Logistics EH&S programs, including peer to peer auditing and Safe Work Permitting.
- High School diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
- 6+ months experience required.
- Superior communication skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.
- Ability to assess multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a timely manner.
- Must have the ability to work in an outdoor environment, in various weather conditions, and wear personal protective equipment including a respirator and/or other PPE that covers the face.

This incumbent regularly works in an outdoor environment, in various weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic chemicals, and must be able to wear a respirator and/or other PPE that covers the face. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
