Fleet and Facility Supervisor

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
Fleet and Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair schedules for all company-owned vehicles and equipment.
- Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of fleet assets.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses.
- Coordination with field crews to ensure that defects are reported and recorded.
Facility Maintenance:
- Manage the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, including buildings, grounds, and related equipment.
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, and improvements as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations for facility operations.
Procurement:
- Procure equipment, materials, and services required for the operation of the fleet and facilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms.
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and procedures.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and distribution of materials and products.
- Ensure accurate recording of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Implement efficient shipping and receiving processes.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Forecast future procurement needs based on usage patterns.
Supervision:
- Lead and manage the work occurring in the shop/yard by providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to achieve operational goals.

Carrier Compliance:
- Monitor and enforce compliance Federal Hours of Service and Alberta Provincial Hours of Service regulations.
- Stay updated on CVSA (Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance), NSC (National Safety Code), and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify compliance and address any issues promptly.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Education in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in fleet/ facility management, procurement, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of carrier compliance regulations and requirements.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Client Relationship Management / Customer Service skills
- Hands-on style, comfortable learning, and teaching
- Proficiency in using computer software and databases for inventory management and record-keeping (MS Excel, MS office, Google Suite Experience, PowerPoint, Document Repository and Doc Versioning Experience).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Drivers License
- Class 5 (minimum)
- Class 3 or 1 w/air brakes (preferred)
- Working Knowledge of Tools
