Job Title: Restaurant Operations Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Armstrong General Store. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits
  • Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
  • Monitor staff performance
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Recruit staff
  • Set staff work schedules
  • Supervise staff
  • Train staff
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Cost products and services
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Provide customer service

Work Environment:

The Restaurant Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to handle heavy loads and work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in restaurant management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work under pressure
