Recreation Therapist

Reporting to the Manager, the Recreation Therapist is a member of the collaborative health care team, providing support to patients, families and inter-professional team members. The recreation therapist provides assessment, intervention plan development, evidence-informed interventions and evaluation of recreation therapy services. Interventions are provided to groups or individuals in inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor of Recreation specializing (Major) in Therapeutic Recreation
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- Knowledge and application of Therapeutic Recreation assessments and processes.
- Experience with Responsive Behavior plan development an asset
- Understanding of the role of a recreation associate
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

- Permanent Full-Time, % FTE; 75 hours biweekly
$33.27 - $42.01 Hourly
