About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our collaborative healthcare team. As a Recreation Therapist, you will provide support to patients, families, and inter-professional team members, utilizing your expertise in therapeutic recreation to assess, develop, and implement interventions that promote health and well-being.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor of Recreation specializing in Therapeutic Recreation, as well as certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. Experience with Responsive Behavior plan development and knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation assessments and processes are assets. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are also an asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, intervention plan development, and evidence-informed interventions to patients and families
  • Develop and implement Responsive Behavior plans
  • Collaborate with inter-professional team members to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct Therapeutic Recreation assessments and develop interventions to promote health and well-being
