Job Description: Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Director to lead our manufacturing and operational teams across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to our Ontario chemical manufacturing facility, equipment service & manufacturing operations, and Alberta field operations and warehouse.
  • Implement and maintain advanced manufacturing technologies that enhance operational excellence and foster a culture of safety.
  • Lead all supply chain activities and collaborate with the R&D team to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
  • Set and execute goals to optimize productivity, capacity utilization, delivery performance, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing operations team through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives to cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all operational areas.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Participate in sales reviews and collaborate with functional teams to establish priorities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging manufacturing technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in operational and manufacturing leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading and implementing manufacturing planning, workforce planning, analysis, and implementation strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software systems and inventory management tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
