Operations Director

Job Summary:
OPW is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our manufacturing operations in Cambridge, Ontario. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of our operations, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and productivity, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic guidance to our manufacturing facilities in Ontario and Alberta, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Manufacturing Excellence: Implement and sustain manufacturing technologies that drive operational excellence and a culture of safety.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee all supply chain activities and provide guidance to our R&D team to ensure seamless execution.
- Performance Improvement: Set and execute goals to improve productivity, capacity utilization, delivery performance, and resource utilization.
- Leadership Development: Provide operational training and leadership through positive role modeling, mentoring, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure accountability for compliance in assigned areas through collaboration with teams to coordinate company policies and procedures.
- Results-Oriented: Monitor work and evaluate results to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and operating requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Participate in sales reviews and work with functional teams to establish priorities.
- Facility Management: Oversee management of all company-owned facilities.
- Industry Expertise: Stay current on new and current manufacturing techniques.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of operational and manufacturing experience in a leadership capacity.
- Post-secondary education related to Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
- High level of manufacturing expertise with direct experience leading Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Travel Requirements:
10 - 15% both domestically and internationally. Flexibility to travel quarterly to Calgary, Alberta. This position is based out of Cambridge, Ontario.
