About Your Role

You will perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, solve problems, and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load system-level controller software, perform basic commissioning, and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices, and complete all required commissioning documentation.
  • Keep management and customers informed of job progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Communicate with JCI contractors or customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and attend required safety training, with a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • You must have proven technical capability, a diploma or certification in a related technology program, and strong computer skills.
  • Able to use hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and wire strippers.
  • Maintain attention to detail and possess effective communication and listening skills.
  • Depending on location, special licensing requirements for mounting and terminating low-voltage devices may apply.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years' experience in installing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Proven knowledge of HVAC systems.
