Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Harris Leadership Strategies, Manitoba, the Executive Director (ED) will take full ownership of Project ASPIRE, be a member of the leadership team and will utilize resources and network.

About the Opportunity

A framework has been developed collaboratively under the guidance of Manitoba Agriculture and the Manitoba Protein Consortium. The project aims to become self-sustaining as this tremendous opportunity for the province comes to fruition.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Drive internal and external functions, including leadership and strategy, communications, community engagement, and data-information.
  2. Lead and oversee the project's activities, internal systems, and staff, identifying capacity and competency gaps, planning for potential organizational growth.
  3. Maintain a contextual understanding of implementation challenges and develop comprehensive solutions.
  4. Oversee the development and implementation of a measurement system to track outcomes and indicators across the initiative.
  5. Ensure effective communications, including website, to attract new stakeholders to the movement.
  6. Participate in relevant networks and ensure stakeholder engagement.
Selection Criteria
  1. 10+ years of progressively senior experience, with at least 3 years' experience managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  2. Degree in business, economics, policy, agriculture, sustainability, social sciences, or related discipline.
  3. Resourceful self-starter with proven experience building and leading collaborative teams and generating growth.
  4. Skilled in agile project management methodologies.
  5. Strong understanding of sustainability, with experience in a related field, and a working knowledge of agricultural and food systems.
  6. Strong communication, stakeholder relations, and networking skills.

This position requires a highly motivated and experienced professional who can drive innovation and growth. With a strong background in sustainability and project management, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the organization. The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000.
