Job Overview

A challenging and rewarding opportunity exists for a skilled Breakfast Baker to join the team at Horizon North. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking all breakfast meals and baked goods as per requirements, ensuring all meals are prepared and served on time to the highest standards of Horizon North.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years' experience in cooking and baking in a similar environment, preferably with experience in remote camps. They should have a proven track record of preparing high-quality baked goods for large numbers of guests and hold a SafeCheck advanced food safety certification. Prior supervisory experience is also considered an asset.

The successful candidate will enjoy an excellent work-life balance with a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation, extended health and dental benefits, and the opportunity to be part of a growing industry leader. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook all breakfast meals and baked goods as per requirements.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared and served on time to the highest standards of Horizon North.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant food safety regulations.
  • Stock and restock ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless meal service.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in cooking and baking in a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of preparing high-quality baked goods for large numbers of guests.
  • SafeCheck advanced food safety certification.
  • Prior supervisory experience is an asset.
