About the Role

The Bruce County nursing department is seeking a skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care to residents under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver personalized care to residents in accordance with their care plans, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility
  • Support residents with their medication management and administration
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized College
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • TB Two Step Skin Test
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Patient, flexible, and adaptable
  • Computer skills
  • Point Click Care experience an asset
