About the Role

The Bruce County nursing department is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide high-quality care to residents in accordance with their care plans. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional care.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position is $27.61, based on the UNIFOR collective agreement. In addition to the competitive salary, the part-time position will receive 12% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation.

Shift Schedule

The part-time evening lines operate from 2PM to 10PM, with each open line containing 4 shifts within a two-week period. This includes every other weekend.

Requirements
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized College
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • TB Two Step Skin Test
  • Provide resident-focused care in terms of behavior and attitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Patient, flexible, and adaptable
  • Computer skills
  • Point Click Care would be an asset
