We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Executive Director to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our Executive Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare in our province.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic business advice and medical expertise to our Executive Team, VP Medicine, and Senior Leadership Team.
- Develop and implement operational and clinical strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with our provincial health objectives.
- Lead the collaboration and cooperation between Zones to deliver effective, quality, and safe patient-centered care.
- Provide leadership and oversight of programs, services, and activities to ensure the effective operation of the Zone.
- Drive improvement and innovation in service delivery models and achieve agreed-upon outcome and performance goals.
- Direct the implementation of service strategies congruent with our quality and sustainability plan.
- Enable effective integration of Zone programs and services with sites and services.
- Develop and maintain a strong patient/client-centered focus and culture.
- Represent the Zone to the external market and internally through community relations and marketing.
- Lead or participate on pertinent medical, administrative, and Board committees.
We are looking for a Medical Doctorate holder with evidence of past and ongoing leadership training. A CCPE/MBA/CHE is preferred. You should have 5-7 years of experience at a senior leadership level, involved in planning and delivering medical programs and services across multiple locations and partners.
You should have a successful record of achievement as a leader, including experience in improvement and innovation in service delivery. You should also have exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to navigate complex relationships with multiple stakeholders.
