About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Executive Director to lead our Zone Medical Executive Director team. As a key member of our executive leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to our medical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical leadership, with experience in planning and delivering medical programs and services. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic plans, managing budgets, and overseeing the performance of medical services. Additionally, you will work closely with our Vice President of Medicine and other stakeholders to ensure the effective integration of medical services across the zone.

We are looking for a candidate who is a strong communicator, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. You will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, making decisions and taking action to drive results. Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to medical services
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient care and services
  • Manage budgets and oversee the performance of medical services
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Medicine and other stakeholders to ensure effective integration of medical services
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Provide leadership and guidance to medical staff and teams
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
About You

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • A medical degree with a strong background in medical leadership
  • Experience in planning and delivering medical programs and services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven and motivated individual

Hours
  • Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
Compensation
