Job Title: Process Improvement Specialist

Powell is seeking a highly motivated and organized Process Improvement Specialist to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support production activities, including training new associates and implementing process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address production bottlenecks
  • Develop and maintain training programs to enhance associate productivity and quality
  • Monitor and analyze production data to inform process improvements
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in MS Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • High School Diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of practical or documented understanding of department-specific tools and equipment
  • Lean Manufacturing Principles (Yellow Belt)
  • Continuous Improvement Principles
Working Conditions:
  • Safety-sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment at all times
  • Must be able to work from all types of ladders and scaffolding
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling
  • Bending, standing, walking, and climbing stairs frequently
  • Using upper extremities to apply or exert a force continuously up to 50lbs
