Overview
Halton Healthcare is a leading healthcare provider seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately 5,200 hospital and supporting organization staff.

Salary
$61,913 to $77,474 annually

Job Description
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with HHS policies and union collective agreements while processing the bi-weekly payroll for unionized and non-unionized employees. Key responsibilities include:
  • Processing employee expense reimbursement claims and other payments in accordance with HHS policies.
  • Reviewing and processing bi-weekly payroll adjustment forms.
  • Preparing audit reports of the bi-weekly payroll for review.
  • Preparing, reconciling, and remitting monthly government remittances.
  • Processing and submitting employment and government forms as required.
  • Acting as a resource to internal departments for payroll matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A diploma or university degree.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, high-complexity, and high-volume work environment.
  • Technical competence in large ERP systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and prioritize deliverables in a dynamic environment.
