Role Summary

The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Spiritual Care Practitioner to join our Department of Spiritual Care. As a member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that spirituality and faith traditions are respected and integrated into patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct spiritual care to patients, families, and staff, addressing their unique spiritual needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement spiritual care plans that promote holistic patient care.
  • Offer counseling and support to patients and families navigating spiritual crises or challenges.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local faith communities and spiritual leaders to ensure culturally sensitive care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance spiritual care services and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Theology or Spiritual Care.
  • Relevant clinical experience in spiritual care or a related field.
  • Excellent counseling and communication skills.
