Director of Engineering Leadership

Westport Fuel Systems is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Engineering to lead our engineering activities and ensure the delivery of innovative solutions and excellence in project execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Functional Leadership: Lead the engineering activities to ensure the delivery of innovative solutions and excellence in project execution.
- Project Management: Allocate resources to projects, monitor scope, and ensure the delivery of quality, cost, delivery, and functional targets.
- Team Management: Provide functional leadership and mentorship to Engineering Project Managers, Product and Design Engineers.
- Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical support and calibration services for hydrogen and CNG systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive and support continuous improvement activities within the engineering teams.
- Quality Systems: Lead the implementation of Statements of Work (SOW) processes, ensuring adherence to Westport's quality systems and other relevant processes.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in engineering with at least 5 years managing engineering teams and at least 3 years managing projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the automotive, trucking, or alternative fuel industries, particularly with hydrogen and CNG.
- Leadership Skills: Strong cross-functional leadership with the ability to manage and inspire diverse teams.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of autonomy and initiative.
