This key leadership position will be responsible for overseeing the operations at our chemical manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario, as well as providing operational oversight to our equipment and service divisions in Cambridge and Calgary.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Operational Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to our Ontario chemical manufacturing facility, Ontario equipment service and manufacturing, and Alberta field operations and warehouse.
- Manufacturing Excellence: Implement and sustain manufacturing technologies that continuously improve operational excellence and model a safety culture.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee and lead all supply chain activities and provide guidance to our R&D team.
- Performance Improvement: Set and execute goals to improve productivity, capacity utilization, delivery performance, and resource utilization.
- Leadership and Development: Provide operational training and leadership through being a positive and enthusiastic role model, champion employee engagement actions, and exhibit strong leadership skills to effectively mentor, develop, and lead employees.
- Compliance and Governance: Be accountable for compliance in assigned areas through collaboration with teams to coordinate company policies and procedures.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor work and evaluate results to ensure that the organization's objectives and operating requirements are met to support Transchem's vision and values.
- Business Partnerships: Participate in sales reviews and work with functional teams to establish priorities.
- Facility Management: Oversee management of all company-owned facilities.
- Minimum 10 years of operational and manufacturing experience in a leadership capacity.
- Post-secondary education related to Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
- High level of manufacturing expertise with direct experience leading Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Preferred candidates will have knowledge of chemical manufacturing, field installation service, and experience directing and performing in-depth manufacturing planning, workforce planning, analysis, and implementation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing software systems to optimize data combined with inventory management.
- Direct experience supporting high growth environments.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to guide and influence.
