About the Role

The Library Director is a key leadership position at Heritage College & Seminary, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the library. This includes managing the library's collection, providing research support to students and faculty, and collaborating with the Heritage information technology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Library Management
    • Oversee the library's collection development, including purchasing and organizing resources.
    • Manage the library's budget and ensure adequate funding for resources and services.
    • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate library staff.
  • Research Support
    • Provide research assistance to students and faculty, including instruction and reference services.
    • Collaborate with faculty to develop library resources and services that support curriculum goals.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work with the Heritage information technology team to ensure seamless integration of library resources and services.
    • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to promote library resources and services.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a library leadership position.
  • Leadership and management experience, with a focus on team building and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
