Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counselor for Children and Youth to join our team at Family Services of Greater Vancouver. The successful candidate will provide counseling services to children and youth, working with them to address various challenges and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to children and youth, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Assess the needs of clients and develop personalized treatment plans to address their unique challenges.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to promote the program and attract new clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as counseling or psychology.
  • 3 years of experience working with children and youth, preferably in a counseling or therapeutic setting.
  • Strong knowledge of counseling theories and techniques, as well as experience with evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and mutual support.
