Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counselor for Children and Youth to join our team at Family Services of Greater Vancouver. The successful candidate will provide counseling services to children and youth, working closely with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to children and youth, addressing a range of issues including mental health, relationships, and personal growth.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals as needed.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective interventions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive support for clients, including referrals to community resources and services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as counseling, psychology, or social work.
  • 3 years of experience working with children and youth, preferably in a counseling or therapeutic setting.
  • Strong knowledge of counseling theories and techniques, as well as experience with evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and mutual support.
