The Role

We're seeking a self-motivated Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Product, Delivery, and Operations teams, you'll ensure our software and onsite hardware work seamlessly within customer and partner networking setups.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide remote support for network-related issues in charging infrastructure, including diagnosing connectivity problems between PLCs and EV charging stations.
  2. Assist in configuring and optimizing network setups for complex EV charging infrastructure.
  3. Configure and manage firewalls to ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies, including reliable WebSocket connections.
  4. Monitor network performance to identify bottlenecks or issues, and optimize network configurations for improved performance.
  5. Support pre- and post-sales network security inquiries, including questionnaires and direct calls with customers.
  6. Own the full scope of networking expertise for The Mobility House North America, including occasional IT support for employees with network and device issues.
Requirements
  1. Proficient in NAT, firewall technologies, and DMZ setup for secure network architecture.
  2. Experience in remote debugging of traffic between IoT devices, including WebSocket connections.
  3. Strong understanding of network configurations and troubleshooting in Linux.
  4. Working knowledge of Linux/containers, Cloud PaaS/SaaS architecture, and security/compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
  5. Experience fielding technical customer questions and solutions.
  6. Knowledge of penetration/vulnerability testing/scanning.
