Senior Network Automation Engineer

Experience Required: 5 to 7 years
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in configuring the network management toolkit to ensure optimal support for network devices, focusing on data collection, representation, reporting, and orchestration workflows.
Key Responsibilities:- Modify tooling configurations in accordance with certified standards and engineering guidelines.
- Ensure that tooling setups are optimized for maximum operational efficiency.
- Represent the team in regularly scheduled network management review sessions.
- Coordinate and serve as the liaison between Network Operations and the Engineering, Deployment, and Security teams.
- Conduct audits of tooling to evaluate operational coverage and implement necessary remediation actions.
- Review existing documentation to confirm that all tooling complies with relevant mandates.
- Facilitate collaboration with external vendors for tooling enhancements and upgrades.
- Engage in network management design and peer review processes.
- Translate operational and functional requirements into effective solutions.
- Proficient in Agile/DevOps network automation and orchestration tools/frameworks.
- Experience with Enterprise Network Configuration Management and/or Network Workflow Automation Tools.
- Familiarity with NMS protocols and concepts such as SNMP, Syslog, NTP, DNS, NetFlow, TACACS, Netconf, API, Jinja, Yang, YAML, XML, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, ACI.
- Knowledge of NMS products for orchestration, alerting, incident management, problem resolution, capacity and performance management, Wi-Fi, security, and flow management.
- Demonstrated ability to convert operational workflow needs into tooling methodologies and configurations.
- Proficient in Python scripting, with additional languages (such as shell, PERL, etc.) being advantageous.
- Familiarity with Linux systems is essential.
- Experience in configuring large-scale deployments of routers and switches in critical environments.
- Experience with orchestration toolsets managing diverse networking hardware vendors.
- Understanding of specific FCAPS/Network Management Tools like Cisco Crosswork/NSO, Cisco DNA Center, Cisco NDFC, Ansible Automation Platform, HP Network Automation, Forward Enterprise, and Radware.
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including Linux Server Operating Systems, Redhat, Virtualization (VMware ESXi), and Container and Orchestration Technologies (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes).
- Proven experience in network infrastructure programmability via API.
- Strong organizational skills, customer service orientation, attention to detail, and process-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information in non-technical terms.
- Business analysis capabilities, with a focus on forecasting implications and providing consultative recommendations and solutions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage operational lifecycle effectively.
