Senior Network Management Engineer

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in setting up the network management toolkit to guarantee effective support for network devices, focusing on data acquisition, visualization, reporting, and comprehensive orchestration workflows.
Key Responsibilities:- Modify tool configurations in accordance with certified standards and Engineering guidelines.
- Ensure that tool settings are optimized to enhance operational efficiency.
- Serve as the team representative in regularly scheduled network management review sessions.
- Coordinate and act as a liaison between Network Operations and the Engineering, Deployment, and Security teams.
- Conduct audits of tools to evaluate operational coverage and implement necessary remediation changes.
- Review existing documentation to confirm that all tools comply with relevant mandates.
- Facilitate collaboration with external vendors for tool updates and enhancements.
- Engage in network management design and peer review processes.
- Transform operational and functional requirements into effective solutions.
- Proficient in Agile/DevOps network automation and orchestration tools/frameworks.
- Experience with Enterprise Network Configuration Management and/or Network Workflow Automation Tools.
- Familiarity with NMS protocols and concepts such as SNMP, Syslog, NTP, DNS, NetFlow, TACACS, Netconf, API, Jinja, Yang, YAML, XML, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, ACI.
- Knowledge of NMS products for Orchestration, Alert, Incident, Problem, Capacity and Performance, Wifi, Security, and Flow Management.
- Demonstrated ability to translate operational workflow requirements into tooling methods and configurations.
- Required Python scripting experience, with additional languages (shell, PERL, etc.) preferred.
- Familiarity with Linux environments is essential.
- Experience in configuring large-scale deployments of routers and switches in critical environments.
- Experience with orchestration toolsets managing various networking hardware vendors.
- Understanding of specific FCAPS / Network Management Tools such as Cisco Crosswork / NSO, Cisco DNA Center, Cisco NDFC, Ansible Automation Platform, HP Network Automation, Forward Enterprise, and Radware.
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including Linux Server Operating System, Redhat, Virtualization (VMware ESXi), Container and Orchestration Technology (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes).
- Proven experience in network infrastructure programmability via API.
- Strong organizational skills, customer service orientation, attention to detail, and process-driven mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adept at simplifying and presenting information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Business analysis capabilities, with the ability to forecast implications and provide consultative recommendations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage operational lifecycle effectively.
