Job Description

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, temporary Advanced Practice Clinical Leader in the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment (PRT) Service, Clinical Care. Reporting to the Senior Director of Adult Inpatient Services and PRT Outpatient Services, you will support point-of-care staff in the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, treatment, and recovery of patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders.

As a key member of the services' Advanced Practice Clinical Leader team, you will work collaboratively to support models of care. You will role model clinical practice in complex care situations, engage in direct care activities for complex and high-risk clients, and support interprofessional collaborative care, academic, and research opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, treatment, and recovery of patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with the services' Advanced Practice Clinical Leader team to support models of care.
  • Role model clinical practice in complex care situations.
  • Engage in direct care activities for complex and high-risk clients.
  • Support interprofessional collaborative care, academic, and research opportunities.
  • Participate in or facilitate quality improvement projects and quality reviews focusing on patient safety.
  • Supervise graduate students.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in a regulated health discipline.
  • Member of good standing in the regulatory body.
  • 5 years' experience in mental health and addiction treatment.
  • Eligibility for cross-appointment at the University of Toronto.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to provide professional practice leadership, challenge and motivate others, and enhance academic and research endeavours. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teaching, and computer skills are required. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
