Fusion Sushi is seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and recruit and hire staff as needed.
- Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets, and manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth execution.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment, willing to relocate.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and requires attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, initiative, organized, reliability, and team player.
